Integrative Metallomics Studies of Toxic Metal(loid) Substances at the Blood Plasma–Red Blood Cell–Organ/Tumor Nexus

چکیده
Globally, an estimated 9 million deaths per year are caused by human exposure to environmental pollutants, including toxic metal(loid) species. Since pollution is underestimated in calculations of the global burden disease, actual number pollution-related likely be substantially greater. Conversely, anticancer metallodrugs deliberately administered cancer patients, but their often dose-limiting severe adverse side-effects necessitate urgent development more effective that offer fewer off-target effects. What these seemingly unrelated events have common our limited understanding what happens when each substances enter bloodstream. However, bioinorganic chemistry unfolds at plasma/red blood cell interface directly implicated mediating organ/tumor damage and, therefore, immediate toxicological and pharmacological relevance. This perspective will provide a brief synopsis AsIII, Cd2+, Hg2+, CH3Hg+ metallodrug cisplatin Probing processes near-physiological conditions integrating results with biochemical within organs and/or tumors has potential causally link chronic species disease etiology translate novel metal complexes clinical studies, which significantly improve health 21st century.

Enhancement of Toxic Substances Clearance from Blood Equvalent Solution and Human Whole Blood through High Flux Dialyzer by 1 MHz Ultrasound
Background: Hemodialysis is a process of removing waste and excess fluid from blood when kidneys cannot function efficiently. It often involves diverting blood to the filter of the dialysis machin to be cleared of toxic substances. Fouling of pores in dialysis membrane caused by adhesion of plasma protein and other toxins will reduce the efficacy of the filtre. Objective: In This study, the infl...
متن کاملStudies on Bacillus Typhosus Toxic Substances
A phenomenon of local skin reactivity to B. typhosus culture filtrates is described in this report. The reactivity was induced by skin injections of the filtrate followed 24 hours later by an intravenous injection of the same filtrate. The local response consisted of severe hemorrhagic necrosis and was fully developed 4 to 5 hours after the second injection. About 78 to 79 per cent of the rabbi...

The level of cellular differentiation of human oral, sulcular, and junctional epithelium was compared by immunohistochemical analysis of cell membrane-associated blood group-specific carbohydrates. Identification of the blood group A-specific carbohydrate and its two immediate precursor substances, type 2 chain H and N-acetyllactosamine. was accomplished by an indirect immunofluorescence techni...

Some of the properties of blood group A specific substances from enzymatic digests of pools of hog stomachs have been presented in the preceding report (1). However, since it was known that not all hog stomachs show A activity (2), it was considered of interest to determine whether better products could be isolated from individual hog stomachs. When stomach linings from a number of individual h...
متن کاملImmunochemical Studies on Blood Groups Xi. Species Differences among Blood Group a Substances*
The presence of blood group substances in any secretion or tissue is generally established by the capacity of the secretion or of extracts of the tissue to inhibit hemagglutination of erythrocytes of a given blood group by its corresponding isoantibody (cf. references 1, 2). By this technic human secretions and tissues of persons of blood group A (1, 2), the stomach linings of some individuals ...
